WisdomTree Strengthens Bid for XRP ETF

The filing, confirmed by Fox Business, highlights WisdomTree’s growing interest in digital assets. This move follows the firm’s successful launch of the WisdomTree Physical XRP (XRPW) in Europe, where it trades on major exchanges such as Deutsche Börse Xetra, SIX Swiss Exchange, and Euronext. Positioned as the most cost-effective option for XRP exposure in Europe, XRPW provides investors with a secure and efficient way to track XRP’s performance.
In the U.S., regulatory challenges persist. Ripple’s legal battle with the SEC began in December 2020, with accusations that XRP was sold as an unregistered security. A crucial ruling in July 2023 determined that XRP sold on public exchanges was not a security, a win for Ripple. Despite the SEC’s appeal in October 2023, changes in leadership could signal a shift in the regulatory landscape.
