Cardano (ADA) boss Charles Hoskinson disclosed via Twitter in the wee hours of today that he had been invited to speak on cryptocurrency and blockchain in the US House of Representatives Committee on Agriculture next week.

The Input-Output Global CEO noted that the conference would hold on June 23, adding that interested crypto enthusiasts could stream the entire event live on YouTube. Hoskinson’s tweet described:

“I just received a formal invitation to speak before the US House of Representatives Committee on Agriculture about blockchain and cryptocurrencies. It will be live June 23rd at 10:30 AM EST if anyone wants to watch it over YouTube.”

The US House of Reps Committee on Agriculture is charged with developing federal agriculture policy and oversees some federal agencies, including the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).

The CFTC recently got tapped with the responsibility of regulating cryptocurrency assets beyond Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH).

With the ineffective and antagonistic regulatory policies deployed by the Securities and Exchange Commission over the years, many are convinced that the young industry would thrive better under the CFTC.

Many crypto enthusiasts hope the Cardano boss can encourage the House of Reps Committee on Agriculture to continue working towards making the CFTC the dominant regulator of the crypto space.
