The FTSE 100 has finally breached the critical supply zone at 8396.0. This level had previously resisted price advances on four separate occasions. The breakout, driven by the Three White Soldiers candlestick pattern, has established a new all-time high at 8491.0, highlighting the index’s bullish momentum. This development has significant implications for traders, including those relying on forex signals, as it underscores the strength of bullish trends in major markets.

Since May, the FTSE 100 has been consolidating within a range, with 8395.0 acting as the resistance boundary. Each time the price approached this level, the Stochastic indicator signaled an overbought market, leading to reversals that pushed the price back into the range.

The current breakout, however, marks a significant shift from this pattern. Despite an oversold signal from the Stochastic indicator before the breakout, bullish momentum dominated, driving prices higher. The uptrend began at the demand level of 8022.0, where oversold conditions triggered the initial upward movement.

FTSE 100 Short-Term Trend: Bullish

On the four-hour timeframe, a steep upward trajectory reveals robust bullish momentum. The price recently broke and retested a bearish trendline, which provided critical support for the breakout above 8395.0. Moreover, the Parabolic SAR indicator continues to position below the candlesticks, affirming the ongoing bullish ascent. The Hull butterfly oscillator further reinforces this strong bullish momentum.
