Meanwhile, 517 human participants performed near-perfectly, thanks to natural intuition, real-world memory, and the ability to explore problems creatively.

Another joint analysis by the BBC and European Broadcasting Union revealed that major AI tools—including ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, and Perplexity—got 45% of news-related answers wrong. The issues ranged from incorrect sourcing to hallucinated details.
AI-generated cover letters are also disrupting hiring processes. Research on Freelancer.com shows they blur the line between genuine effort and spam, making top-skilled applicants 19% less likely to be selected.
