Ethereum’s price trades above the $1,800 support but surpasses the $2,000 psychological price mark. For the past week, the largest altcoin has been range-bound, above the $1,800 support and below the moving average lines. Today, the cryptocurrency price is rising, but the upward trend has been halted at the $2,200 high.

On the upside, Ether will rise to $2,800 and $3,000 if buyers surpass the $2,200 resistance and the 21-day SMA barrier. Ether will continue to fall if the $1.800 support level is surpassed. The altcoin will fall to its prior lows of $1,747 and $1,539. Ether is now worth $2,049.80.

ETH Technical Indicators Reading:

Ether price bars have halted above the $1,800 support while trading below the downward-sloping moving average lines. The extended candlestick tail pointing across the $1,700 support implies significant buying pressure. On the 4-hour chart, the downward-sloping moving average lines are horizontal as buyers try to keep the price above them.
