World Liberty Financial (WLFI), the DeFi initiative endorsed by President-elect Donald Trump, has made waves in the crypto world by acquiring Ethereum (ETH), Chainlink (LINK), and Aave (AAVE) tokens in a $12 million buying spree. This ambitious move positions World Liberty as a significant player in decentralized finance, reflecting its commitment to reshaping the digital economy.

Inside World Liberty’s Crypto Shopping Spree

World Liberty executed its $12 million purchase using USD Coin (USDC) through its multi-signature wallet, as reported by blockchain analytics platform Lookonchain. The acquisition included $10 million worth of ETH at $3,801 per token, $1 million in 41,335 LINK at $24.2 each, and $1 million in 3,357 AAVE at $297.8 per token.
Notably, this marks the first time World Liberty has invested in LINK and AAVE, according to SpotOnChain. Over the past 12 days, WLFI has spent $30 million acquiring 8,105 ETH at an average price of $3,701. This aggressive buying spree coincides with Tron founder Justin Sun’s recent $30 million investment in WLFI, making him the platform’s largest investor.

Despite early financial hurdles, it has steadily grown, raising over $66.4 million through token sales since its September launch. This success underscores its potential to establish a robust presence in the DeFi sector.

World Liberty and Chainlink: A Strategic Alliance

World Liberty is taking significant strides to strengthen its ecosystem through a partnership with Chainlink. Announced on November 14, this collaboration aims to accelerate DeFi adoption by leveraging Chainlink’s on-chain data and cross-chain connectivity capabilities.
In the initial phase, it plans to integrate Chainlink’s Price Feeds to onboard digital assets like USDC, USDT, ETH, and WBTC for its Aave v3 protocol. Sergey Nazarov, co-founder of Chainlink, emphasized the network’s security and reliability as crucial factors in the partnership, highlighting its ability to enhance WLFI’s appeal to users seeking trusted DeFi solutions.
