Crypto markets have witnessed an extraordinary rally, adding over $200 billion in value as Bitcoin (BTC) soared past the $100,000 milestone, touching $102,000 before settling just below $101,000. Bitcoin Breaks Past $100K
After days of attempting to breach the six-digit mark, Bitcoin finally succeeded on Wednesday, briefly hitting $102,000. The rally followed consecutive rejections at $100,000 earlier in the week, which had pushed the cryptocurrency down to $94,400. However, strong support at that level enabled a remarkable rebound.
Although BTC hasn’t charted a new all-time high, this marks its longest stint trading above $100,000. With a market capitalization nearing $2 trillion, Bitcoin’s dominance in the crypto markets remains significant, albeit slightly reduced to 52.3% as altcoins surge. 
Altcoins Rally Across Crypto Markets
The altcoin sector has rebounded dramatically after early-week corrections, with numerous tokens recording massive double-digit gains. Standouts include AAVE (+32%), HYPE (+29%), SUI (+26%), LINK (+23%), and BEAM (+21%), among others. Even larger-cap altcoins have joined the upward trend. Ethereum (ETH) rose by 5.5%, Binance Coin (BNB) gained 4.2%, and Cardano (ADA) surged by 12.5%. Meanwhile, XRP and DOGE posted modest gains of 1.7% and 3%, respectively.
This recovery has propelled the total crypto market capitalization beyond $3.8 trillion, marking a $200 billion increase in just 24 hours. The extraordinary performance of Bitcoin and altcoins demonstrates the resilience and rapid recovery potential of crypto markets.
