Ethereum’s price continues to tumble above $2,200 after facing rejection at $2,800. For the past two months, the cryptocurrency has traded above the $2,800 support and below the $3,400 resistance level. On January 29, the bullish momentum tested the moving average lines but was rejected. The bearish momentum dropped below the $2,800 support, reaching a low of $2,246.

Since January 31, selling pressure has stalled above the $2,200 support, with the altcoin fluctuating above the current support. On the negative, Ether is expected to fall further to the $2,000 psychological price level. Ether is currently valued at $2,256.

ETH Technical Indicators Reading

 The price bars have fallen below the horizontal 21- and 50-day moving average lines. The 21-day SMA has crossed below the 50-day SMA, signaling a decline. The moving average lines on the 4-hour chart are sloping downward, indicating a downtrend. Doji candlesticks characterize the price activity.

Ether’s price retraces and continues to tumble above $2,200. On the 4-hour chart, the cryptocurrency price has retested the current support twice and is now correcting upward.
