Johann Kerbrat, General Manager of Crypto at Robinhood, tweeted an update on the eagerly awaited Robinhood Wallet on Thursday. The trading company had reportedly started distributing the wallet to its queue of more than a million customers, according to Kerbrat.
The long-in-development wallet will support more than 50 cryptocurrencies, enabling users to exchange their digital assets for other cryptocurrencies in addition to transferring them. The Robinhood Wallet is also supported by the Polygon and Ethereum blockchains.
The most well-known cryptocurrencies that are supported include Shiba Inu, Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), and USD Coin(USDC), among others. The wallet will now support NFTs on the Polygon and Ethereum blockchains. Another intriguing aspect is that utilizing the Robinhood Wallet to execute swaps on Polygon is said to be fee-free.
iOS users who wish to access the Robinhood Wallet will soon do so after receiving a code. Users who download the app and gain access will also earn a $5 incentive.
