Ethereum (ETH) Price Analysis March 18, 2025

The price of Ethereum (ETH) has been fluctuating above the $1,800 support as bulls buy the dip. The bearish momentum has remained above the $1,800 support while the upward moves were repelled by the $2,000 high. The psychological price level is now a resistance level to the price bars. If the price breaks above the $2,000 high of the 21-day SMA barrier, Ether will begin its upward move, rising to $2,800.

On the downside, if the bears breach below the $1,800 support, the altcoin will decline to the low of $1,550. Additionally, if the current support holds, Ether will start its upward move. At the time of writing, Ether is currently worth $1,871.

ETH Technical Indicators Reading

The weekly chart’s moving average lines are horizontal despite the bearish trend, but as the chart approaches the bottom, the price bars have dropped significantly, and the daily chart’s moving average lines slope southward, indicating a downward trend.

Conclusion 

Ethereum is consolidating above the $1,800 support as bulls buy the dip. However, the emergence of Doji candlesticks makes it unlikely that the largest altcoin would continue to decrease. The price movement is constrained by the Doji candlesticks. The crypto signal is currently negative as the bearish trend retests the current support.
