Binance Founder CZ Sees 2026 Bitcoin Supercycle as Regulation Turns Supportive

Binance co-founder Changpeng “CZ” Zhao has forecast a possible Bitcoin supercycle in 2026, pointing to shifting regulatory attitudes worldwide. Speaking in Davos, he explained that clearer rules could disrupt Bitcoin’s historic four-year cycle. As a result, market behavior may become more sustained. Consequently, long-term confidence could replace short-term speculation.

According to Zhao, the United States is adopting a more supportive crypto stance. Therefore, other governments may soon follow similar paths. Historically, Bitcoin leads broader crypto movements. In turn, a prolonged Bitcoin rally could lift the entire digital asset market. However, Zhao avoided price targets, preferring to emphasize structural growth.

Meanwhile, other crypto leaders have offered firm projections. Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse expects Bitcoin to reach $180,000 by 2026. Likewise, BitMEX co-founder Arthur Hayes sees prices climbing toward $200,000. By contrast, Zhao focused on longer horizons. He argued that higher prices remain likely over five to ten years.
Additionally, Zhao rejected speculation linking Binance to U.S. President Donald Trump. He clarified that no personal or business relationship exists. Although the administration supports crypto, Zhao said such policies benefit the entire industry. Finally, he described recent investment reports involving Binance as widely misunderstood.
